Full job description

Research Analyst (Remote, Part-Time)

Company: Strategic Medical Brokers

Location: Remote (Philippines)

Job Type: Part-time (10–20 hours per week)

Pay: $5.00–$8.00 USD / hour

About the Role

Strategic Medical Brokers is a physician-focused advisory firm. We help physician-owners navigate the sale and transition of their medical practices with clarity and care. Behind that work is a research database that has to be accurate, current, and complete.

That’s where you come in.

As a Research Analyst, you’ll investigate, verify, and enrich the records that power our sales and marketing. You’ll use public databases, official registries, and research tools to confirm who owns what, where they can be reached, and whether the details we have are correct. It’s part detective work, part disciplined data entry — and it rewards people who like getting things right.

This is a remote, part-time role — a consistent 10 to 20 hours per week — with a clear structure, defined procedures, and steady weekly goals. If you enjoy digging for information and organizing it well, you’ll do well here.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and classify physicians as practice owners or employees, using our established criteria
  • Identify medical practice owners and the organizations affiliated with them
  • Locate practice names, personal mailing addresses, and personal email addresses
  • Verify individual and organizational NPI records
  • Research corporate registrations through official government databases
  • Complete all required database fields accurately and consistently
  • Keep assigned records current, correctly formatted, and complete
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of the information you collect
  • Meet weekly productivity and quality goals

Tools You’ll Use

We’ll train you on the platforms we rely on, including OpenCorporates, Secretary of State databases, the NPI Registry, Melissa, InstantCheck, Google, and our CRM. You don’t need prior experience with all of these — you do need to be comfortable learning new research tools quickly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong online research skills and the ability to navigate the internet efficiently to find and verify information
  • Accurate, careful data entry
  • Basic familiarity with database management
  • The ability to follow established research procedures and quality standards
  • Attention to detail and genuine accountability for your work
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Clear communication and a willingness to ask questions when something isn’t clear
  • Adaptability and a real willingness to learn

Education & Experience

  • Associate, technical, or bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred experience in one or more of: internet research, data entry, database management, administrative support, market research, business research, or CRM data management

Experience is a plus, not a barrier. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

Our Values

Skills can be taught. Values are who you already are. We’re looking for someone whose approach to work matches ours:

  • Integrity. You handle sensitive information with discretion and do the work honestly, even when no one is checking.
  • Care for the details. The accuracy of a single record matters to you. Close enough is not good enough.
  • Accountability. You own your work, meet your commitments, and speak up when something isn’t right.
  • A long-game mindset. We build trust one careful step at a time. You take the same patient, thorough approach to your work.

If those values describe how you already operate, you’ll fit in well here.

Who Thrives Here

The Research Analyst who does well with us is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys investigating and organizing information. You can work independently, follow a process, and hold yourself to high-quality work — while still collaborating with a small team when it counts.
