Job Summary:

The Kitchen Crew of BM’s Basta Manok is responsible for performing multiple kitchen roles including preparing soup and side dishes, handling pre-preparations such as cutting and marinating meats, and grilling chicken and other menu items. The role ensures that food is prepared according to BM’s quality standards while maintaining cleanliness, speed, and food safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

As Soupman & Pre-prep Staff:

● Prepare and cook soups and side dishes based on the daily recipe and store requirements.

● Maintain quality, consistency, and correct portions of soup items.

● Ensure timely preparation of soup backups during service hours.

● Sanitize soup stations before, during, and after shift.

● Prepare ingredients including cutting, portioning, and marinating meats.

● Follow standard recipes and ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of prepped items.

● Assist in receiving deliveries and organizing inventory using FIFO method.

● Ensure availability of backup items for grill and soup stations.

As Grill Man:

● Operate charcoal or gas grill to cook chicken and other grilled menu items.

● Monitor grill temperature and cook times to ensure the product is juicy, properly cooked, and consistent.

● Maintain cleanliness and safety of the grill area at all times.

● Prepare and cook orders quickly and accurately during peak hours.

General Duties:

● Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation.

● Follow BM’s standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and food handling practices.

● Cooperate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.

● Participate in opening, mid, or closing duties as scheduled.

● Report any equipment or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.

● Attend training and briefings as required.

Qualifications:

● High school graduate or equivalent.

● Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

● Must be willing to work in shifting schedules including weekends and holidays.

● Physically fit and capable of standing for long hours and handling hot kitchen equipment.

● Fast learner, team player, and highly dependable.
