Full job description

A prep cook handles essential behind-the-scenes work in a restaurant kitchen. They are responsible for washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients so that the lead line cooks and chefs can quickly assemble and plate dishes during busy service hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, meats, and other produce.
  • Station Setup: Set up, organize, and stock your assigned prep station before service begins.
  • Recipe Execution: Follow instructions from the Head Chef to accurately measure ingredients, mix sauces, and make simple dishes (like salads or dressings). [1, 2, 3]
  • Food Safety: Comply strictly with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. This includes properly labeling stored food, rotating inventory, and taking room/cooling room temperatures.
  • Sanitation & Cleaning: Wash dishes, sanitize cooking utensils, clean workstations, and help keep the overall kitchen tidy throughout the shift.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
