Job Summary
An On-Call Waiter provides food and beverage service to guests during events, functions, peak business periods, or as needed by the establishment. The role involves ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining dining area cleanliness, and supporting the smooth operation of food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly according to service standards.
  • Set up and prepare dining areas, banquet halls, or event venues before service.
  • Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
  • Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown when required.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve basic service concerns.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Handle service equipment, utensils, and tableware with care.
  • Support other food and beverage team members as needed.
  • Perform post-event cleanup and assist in restoring the venue to its original condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, catering, or restaurant operations is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or service items safely.
