STORE: MAKANAI (FUDO, INC.)
PURPOSE: Kitchen Helper/Steward is to provide support in the kitchen and dining areas by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient operation. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, washing dishes, and facilitating a smooth workflow to enhance the overall guest experience. The Kitchen Helper/Steward plays a vital role in supporting kitchen staff and ensuring that the establishment operates effectively and meets the expected standards of service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Kitchen Support: Assist kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure all ingredients are ready for use.

2. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

3. Hygiene Standards: Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for both staff and guests.

4. Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste and ensure that recycling protocols are followed.

5. Inventory Management: Assist in the organization and maintenance of kitchen supplies and inventory, reporting low stock levels to management.

6. Workflow Facilitation: Support a smooth workflow in the kitchen, helping to expedite services during peak hours.

7. Guest Interaction: Provide friendly and efficient service to guests as needed, promoting a positive dining experience.

8. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with kitchen staff, communicating clearly to ensure coordinated efforts and timely service.

9. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to management.

10. Training and Support: Help train new staff members on kitchen procedures and safety protocols as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, or any food & service industry

related courses

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a full-service restaurant, café, or retail F&B

environment preferred.

SKILLS: Understanding of hygiene practices and food safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.

Detail-oriented

Effectively managing tasks in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy service periods.

Patient, honest, and trustworthy

Effectively communicate with kitchen staff and other team members.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.

Friendly and personable

SUPERVISION: Standard; attention to detail required.

Pay: Php28,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
