Full job description

PURPOSE: This versatile role combines serving, bartending, and cashier duties. Will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Greet customers warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
  • Take food and beverage orders from customers accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area by clearing dishes, setting tables, and assisting with other housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Provide detailed menu information, answer questions about ingredients, and recommend items based on customer preferences.
  • Ensure proper handling of guest complaints or concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve drinks to customers in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring proper portioning and garnishing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning countertops.
  • Restock the bar with supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other ingredients.
  • Process guest payments efficiently, including cash, credit card, or mobile payments.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and provide customers with correct receipts.
  • Assist customers with any billing or payment issues and resolve them in a polite and professional manner.
  • Balance the cash register at the end of the shift, ensuring all sales and tips are accounted for properly.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, or any food & service industry related courses

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or customer service role is preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Patient, honest and trustworthy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Friendly and personable

SUPERVISION: Standard; attention to detail required.
