About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Training and Development Manager to join FOODEE GLOBAL CONCEPTS in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in shaping the competency and performance of our restaurant teams across our operations. As Training and Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing comprehensive training programmes that ensure consistent service excellence, operational efficiency and staff engagement across all our establishments. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences and developing our people into skilled hospitality professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula covering food and beverage service, kitchen operations, customer service, health and safety, and hospitality standards
  • Conduct training delivery across multiple restaurant locations, ensuring consistency in service quality and operational procedures
  • Assess staff competency levels and identify skill gaps across the organisation
  • Create tailored development programmes for different staff levels, from entry-level employees to management
  • Develop training materials, manuals, videos and resources to support learning and knowledge retention
  • Mentor and coach restaurant managers and supervisors on effective staff development practices
  • Implement and maintain training records and monitor the progress of participants
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in hospitality training and development
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify training needs and customise solutions accordingly
  • Facilitate onboarding programmes for new restaurant locations and new staff members

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality training, staff development or related roles
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programmes in a multi-unit restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, kitchen operations and hospitality best practices
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in training methodologies, adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Demonstrated ability to assess training needs and develop targeted solutions
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and levels of the organisation
  • Experience with learning management systems and training software (preferred)
  • Certification in training and development, hospitality management or related fields (preferred)
  • Passion for developing people and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel between restaurant locations as needed
