The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role handles payments, operates the POS system, ensures proper cash handling, and supports smooth daily store operations.
JOB SCOPE
- Receive and process customer payments through cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
- Operate the POS system accurately for order entry, billing, and transaction recording.
- Issue receipts, process discounts, and ensure correct pricing for all orders.
- Handle cash drawer responsibly, including balancing sales and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist in managing take-out and dine-in orders as needed.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing basic inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
- Follow company policies on cash handling, food safety, and customer service standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of HRM, Hospitality Management, or any related course.
- With 1–2 years of experience in retail, convenience store, or casual dining operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
- Knowledgeable in POS systems, cash handling, and card transactions (debit/credit), including discounts and promotions.
- Team player with willingness to support overall store operations when needed.
