JOB DESCRIPTION:

THIS POSITION IS FOR A LAND-BASED JOB AT THE COMMODORE’S TABLE RESTAURANT, LOCATED IN MAKATI, PHILIPPINES.

Waiter / Server Duties and Responsibilities

· Reports to the F&B supervisor and the Restaurant Manager

· Must maintain cleanliness and excellent appearance while wearing the waiter’s uniform and smile at all times

· Warmly greets guests, escorting them to their table and providing and explaining the menu about ingredients, preparation method, and potential allergens

· Taking accurate food and beverage orders and communicating any special requests or modifications clearly with the kitchen staff

· Offers menu suggestions and recommendations to enhance guest experience and increase sales

· Serving all items to the guest's table promptly, ensuring correct presentation and temperature

· Anticipate the needs of customers by providing water, condiments, and extra napkins before the guests have to ask

· Handles minor complaints or issues like incorrect orders, dissatisfaction with food, and escalates complex problems to the managers

· Excellent verbal and active listening skills to understand and relay orders accurately

· Ability to manage multiple tables, tasks, and competing priorities during busy periods.

· Clearing, wiping, and resetting tables with clean place settings like silverware, napkins, and glasses for the next guest

· Clean floors and sinks before and after restaurant service. The grease trap should be clean and dry every day after service

· Effectively collaborate with kitchen staff, especially the chefs and other servers, to ensure smooth service

· Assist in order taking for company affiliates by answering inquiries at the Commodores Table Set up the venue for meetings and set up food service

· Deliver food orders from affiliates, together with order slips and invoices, to tally with the total sales of the day

· Inform the supervisor or manager of tardiness and absences ahead of time

· No loitering in front of the restaurant during breaks. Minimize the use of cellphones inside the restaurant.

· Assist other kitchen staff during and after staff meal services

· Performs other related jobs that may be assigned from time to time.

· Learn how to deal with team differences and treat each team member with utmost courtesy and respect.

· Learn how to handle criticism and challenges with an open heart and mind, and know that there is always something to learn from each situation.

· Always keep the workspace organized and tidy, and observe the 5S

· Always observe proper office decorum, focus on work, and be friendly and kind to team members.

· Actively participates in the employee development training

· Observes all policies about fair practices and anti-corruption practices
