About the role

The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial leadership, accounting operations, compliance, and fiscal integrity of Miguel & Maria Food Solutions and Services Inc. This role combines strategic financial management with direct oversight of accounting functions. The position ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), timely preparation of financial reports, and sound financial planning to support business growth across restaurant branches, commissary, bakery, and head office operations. The Accounting and Finance Manager supervises accounting personnel, manages daily financial operations, prepares and reviews financial statements, strengthens internal controls, and provides management with clear financial insights for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee full accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, Budget vs. Actual Reports, and COGS Analysis
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR requirements, SEC reporting, and LGU regulatory requirements
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and coordinate internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain accurate general ledger balances and review and approve bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries
  • Oversee AP and AR processes to ensure timely vendor payments, proper documentation and approvals, and efficient collection of receivables
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for all departments and establish budget guidelines and spending controls
  • Supervise accounting staff and finance personnel, conduct regular coaching and performance feedback sessions
  • Prepare and monitor weekly cash flow projections and manage liquidity
  • Compile financial data, analyze the company's financial health, and develop financial models for expansion projects, pricing adjustments, capital expenditures, and investment analysis

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (required)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Minimum 5–8 years progressive accounting experience
  • At least 3 years in supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience in Food & Beverage, retail, or multi-branch setup preferred
  • Strong exposure to tax compliance and financial reporting
  • QuickBooks Certification
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
  • Expertise in BIR and regulatory compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Pay: Php90,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
