POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Manager will be a key member of the restaurant's pioneer management team, helping establish the operational foundation, service culture, systems, and standards of a new fine-dining Chinese restaurant.

This is not simply a position responsible for maintaining an existing operation. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to help shape how the restaurant operates from the beginning, including service procedures, team practices, operating standards, guest experience, and day-to-day systems.

The position is suited to an experienced hospitality professional who is ready to take a hands-on leadership role and contribute ideas, judgment, and practical solutions during the establishment and growth of the restaurant.

Chinese restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Experience in fine dining, luxury hotels, premium restaurants, upscale F&B, or other high-quality hospitality environments will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. BUILDING THE RESTAURANT OPERATION

• Help establish practical operating systems and procedures for the new restaurant.
• Participate in developing opening, service, closing, and daily operating standards.
• Help define the flow and coordination between Front of House and Back of House.
• Identify operational requirements before opening and during the early stages of operation.
• Recommend practical improvements to ensure efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
• Help establish standards that can be consistently maintained as the restaurant grows.

2. SERVICE & GUEST EXPERIENCE

• Help develop the restaurant's service philosophy and standards.
• Establish expectations for professional, attentive, and personalized fine-dining service.
• Monitor service quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Coach employees on proper guest interaction, service sequence, and dining etiquette.
• Help create a service culture that reflects the restaurant's positioning and concept.

3. PEOPLE & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

• Participate in building the restaurant's initial team.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of key operational personnel.
• Help establish training standards and onboarding procedures.
• Coach supervisors and team members.
• Develop employees into confident and capable service professionals.
• Establish a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and respect.

4. OPERATIONAL CONTROL

• Monitor restaurant readiness, staffing, service flow, inventory, supplies, equipment, and facilities.
• Identify operational issues and resolve them promptly.
• Monitor food, beverage, labor, and operating costs.
• Assist in developing inventory and wastage-control procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment, tableware, supplies, and other assets.

5. OPENING & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Participate in pre-opening activities, operational testing, mock services, training, and opening preparations.
• Help identify operational gaps before and after opening.
• Gather feedback from employees and guests and recommend improvements.
• Continuously review operating procedures and service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree or relevant background in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in restaurant, hotel, hospitality, or F&B operations.
• Experience handling supervisory or management responsibilities is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Mature judgment and ability to make sound operational decisions.
• Hands-on, organized, and solutions-oriented.
• Comfortable working in an environment where systems and standards are still being developed.
• Fine-dining, luxury hotel, premium restaurant, or Chinese restaurant experience is an advantage.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is beyond an entry-level restaurant manager and is ready to take meaningful responsibility for an operation.

The ideal candidate does not necessarily have to come from a Chinese restaurant. What matters is the ability to lead people, understand premium service, solve operational problems, establish standards, and help build something from the ground up.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
