Job Summary:Crumbcoat Cafe is seeking a Chef/Cook that is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and health and safety regulations. This role ensures timely production, maintains kitchen hygiene, manages inventory efficiently, and supports the overall dining experience by delivering consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Cooking:
  • Prepare, cook, present and maintain dishes according to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and consistency for all menu items.
  • Assist in developing new menu items or improving existing dishes.
  • Able to master the SOP for every dish available with minimal supervision.
  • Kitchen Operations & Efficiency:
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously and ensure timely preparation.
  • Ensure workstation cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination when handling food.
  • Maintain organized workstations and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Implement First In, First Out when handling stocks.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, labelling and minimizing waste.
  • Properly clean and organize the Kitchen during the end of shift or shift handover.
  • Health, Safety & Hygiene:
  • Follow food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Handle ingredients safely and prevent contamination.
  • Ensure sanitation standards are strictly followed for the kitchen, including regular hand washing, use of gloves, and adherence to the cafe's health policies.
  • Teamwork & Communication:
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, servers, and other staff regarding menu changes, shortages, or special requests.
  • Support training and guidance for junior kitchen staff if required.
  • Compliance and Standards:
  • Adhere to company policies regarding attendance, conduct, and performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or culinary degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a cook, chef, or in a similar culinary role.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina for standing long hours and lifting kitchen equipment or ingredients.

Pay: Php500.00 - Php700.00 per day
