Full job description

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company seeking a dedicated Human Resources Associate (Freelance Contractor) to support our Human Resources team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, collaborating with global teams to enhance recruitment, employee engagement, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Posting & Recruitment:

  • Create and manage job postings across various platforms.
  • Source, screen, and coordinate interviews with potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Conduct reference and background checks on selected applicants prior to employment commencing.
  • Assign onboarding training for Canadian/US employees and new hires as appropriate.

Employee Engagement & Recognition:

  • Manage and optimize the KUDOS employee recognition platform.
  • Develop strategies to enhance engagement and company culture.
  • Organize employee appreciation initiatives and events.

KPI Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track key HR performance indicators (KPIs) to measure hiring efficiency, retention, and engagement levels.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to provide insights into HR initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements based on HR analytics.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update HR documentation, employee records, and policies in an organized manner.
  • Manage HR communications, including policy updates, announcements, and news postings on SharePoint.
  • Publish employee-related updates, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, and birthdays, across internal platforms (Danby Update, SharePoint, ADP).
  • Develop, maintain, and revise HR policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably with recruitment and employee engagement responsibilities.
  • High proficiency with HR-related software, including all Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, OneNote), KUDOS and HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Professionalism, including strong integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to research and analyze new programs, policies, laws, best practices, and data/metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Availability to work North American business hours, with a commitment of 25-40 hours per week.
  • Proven experience collaborating with global teams, adapting to diverse cultural and operational dynamics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.

About the role:

  • Freelance contract, fully remote opportunity
  • Minimum 25 hours per week, up to 40 hours
  • Starting wage between $5 and $7 USD per hour depending on experience, education and skills
  • You must provide your own equipment for working i.e. computer, internet, headset, etc.

**IT requirements **

  • You must own a computer and currently have internet service – minimum 20 MB download speed / 8 Mb upload speed.
  • Computer with core i5 6th gen or higher CPU
  • 8 GB Ram or higher solid state hard drives are preferred and min 30 Gb free space windows 10 operating system updated “regularly “
  • Antivirus active and Up-to-date or native Windows defender if windows 10 is updated to latest builds stable high speed internet connection with minimum of 20 MB download speed / 8 Mb upload speed
  • Up-to-date versions of Chrome , Firefox , MS Edge
  • Wired “Ethernet connection “ is preferred, but WI-FI is ok if signal and coverage is strong

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php286.00 - Php402.00 per hour
