The Financial Coconut is seeking a talented and organised Producer to join our fast-growing personal finance podcast team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of podcast production from guest outreach in pre-production to post-production efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Booking & Coordination: Source, vet and book interesting guests for our weekly shows. Coordinate schedules, details, and logistics and ensure all new podcasts meet internal deadlines. In certain cases, there may be a need to travel to meet potential talents/ guests, attend industry events, or conduct on-location interviews.
• Pre-Production: Proactively identify and scout potential talents and guests who align with the show's themes, objectives, and target audience. Develop episode outlines, prep conversation topics, fact-check and conduct guest research ahead of recordings.
• Podcast Recording: Coordinate, capture, and import raw audio files from guest interviews for the production team.
• Continual Talent/ Guest Pipeline: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential talents/guests, keeping track of emerging trends, industry developments, and interesting individuals to bring fresh perspectives to the show.
• Show building: Improve the podcast channel’s performance by monitoring, evaluating, and providing recommendations.
• Marketing & Promotion: Develop marketing plans to measure the effectiveness of the strategies intended to raise the profile of the pods and hosts and increase discoverability. Collaborate on marketing strategies to promote new episodes via distribution platforms.

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in podcast/ radio/ talk show/ broadcasting are welcomed
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms, publishing directories
• Strong writing abilities to produce high-quality show notes
• Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision
• Passion for personal finance, investing and business news topics and ability to understand complex subjects
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in others, their stories, experiences, and backgrounds, with a natural curiosity that drives you to seek out intriguing talents/guests
• Has a deep passion for storytelling, entertainment, and creating captivating content that resonates with the target audience
