Full job description

BASE | Functional Bar

BGC, Taguig | Full-time

Coffee. Protein. People who move.

BASE is a functional bar inside BARE Manila, built around movement and what comes before, between, and after it. We serve specialty coffee, signature drinks, smoothies, and protein shakes designed for pre-workout, comfort, and recovery.

Now, we’re adding one more barista to the team.

We’re looking for someone who can make a proper cup, move with intention, and bring good energy behind the bar. Someone who understands that great service isn’t about being overly scripted—it’s about being present, paying attention, and getting the details right.

THE ROLE

The bar moves with the studio. Some hours are fast, some are quieter, but the standard stays the same.

As a BASE Barista, you’ll:

  • Prepare specialty coffee, signature drinks, smoothies, and protein shakes based on BASE recipes and standards
  • Dial in espresso and maintain drink quality throughout the day
  • Take orders, process payments, and help customers find the right drink for what they need
  • Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
  • Monitor ingredients and supplies and report restocking needs
  • Follow opening, closing, food-safety, and equipment-cleaning procedures
  • Support store promotions, launches, and occasional studio activities
  • Create a warm and welcoming experience for BARE members, coaches, regulars, and first-timers

YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

  • Have previous café or barista experience
  • Understand—or are genuinely interested in learning—espresso preparation and milk steaming
  • Care about consistency and the small details
  • Work cleanly, efficiently, and with initiative
  • Stay calm and focused during busy periods
  • Communicate well and know how to work as part of a team
  • Are reliable, coachable, and open to feedback
  • Can work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an interest in coffee, fitness, wellness, or an active lifestyle

Experience is valuable, but attitude matters just as much. We can teach recipes and systems. What we need is someone dependable, curious, and serious about doing good work.

If you want to grow your coffee skills and be part of a young brand that’s still building, moving, and finding new ways to serve its community, we’d like to meet you.

Come build your BASE with us.

Pay: Php695.00 - Php755.00 per day
