Duties and Responsibilities

1. Establishes production quality standards and ensures that materials and products

conform to the prescribed specifications.

2. Plans and monitors all activities of the QA laboratory and personnel.

3. Responsible for the QA Laboratory analytical method and in providing accurate and

timely results.

4. Audits production procedures and their adherence to the company's quality plans.

5. Recommends disposition of non-conforming products to the Review Board.

6. Responsible for initiating and overseeing product recalls and ensuring their adequate

implementation and effectiveness.

Responsible for determining the scope of the recall and segregation and testing of recalled

product to determine proper disposition.

8. Enforces all personnel and safety policies, rules, and regulations, and sees to it that

Functions, Task and Assignments

1. Represents the company in seminars, meetings, and discussions with management,

D&L service groups, customers, and related organizations and entities, where Quality

System, analytical methods, and non-conformance are issues.

2. Conducts orientations and seminars on the company's quality system.

3. Establishes, reviews, and periodically updates the company's Quality Plan.

4. Periodically updates management on the incidence of in-factory non-conformances and

product returns from customers.

5. Initiates an Incident Report when the established quality plan is violated or disregarded

and monitors implementation of corrective actions.

6. Recommends to the Production Manager preventive actions including disciplinary sanction

on quality plan violations.

7. Conducts follow-up inspection to ensure that corrective and preventive actions for

Quality plan violations are implemented.

8. Recommends and accounts for the budgets for the Quality Assurance Laboratories and

HACCP programs and its requirements.

9. Establishes the Level of Quality for the Balance Business Plan measurements.

10. Plans and recommends the budget for laboratory upgrading, equipment, materials and

reagents requirements.

11. Ensures the integrity, completeness and correctness of QA records through review

and/or verification and safe-keeps the Fats and Oils QA Laboratory files and records

according to the prescribed retention time.

12. Coordinates with the GMP officer on product standards and specifications affected by

GMP violations.

13. Conducts a periodic review of the HACCP and related studies.

14. Participates in the HACCP reviews in his area of responsibility and immediately

initiates corrective and preventive measures recommended by the HACCP review

committee.

15. Member of IA Team. Conducts Internal Audit on the company's HACCP implementation to

ensure its compliance based on standard. Reviews / validates corrective/preventive

action based on audit findings. Conducts verification / closing of audit findings based on the

effectiveness of corrective actions.

16. Team Leader of GLP Audit Group. Reviews corrective actions based on audit findings.

17. Team Leader of Food Safety Group. Develops, implements, maintains and updates Food

Safety Management System (FSMS).

18. Manages the food safety team. Ensures relevant trainings and education of the food safety

team member.

19. Reports to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and sustainability of the

FSMS.

20. Performs other duties assigned by Supply Chain Director.

Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per hour
