About the Role

As a Senior Accountant within our External Finance team, you will manage a portfolio of Australian business clients and deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting and payroll services.

This role suits someone who can work autonomously, build strong client relationships, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll for a portfolio of Australian businesses
• Prepare month-end accounts and management reports
• Deliver clear, accurate, and insight-driven financial information
• Complete BAS and IAS obligations in line with Australian taxation requirements
• Partner closely with clients to resolve queries and support decision-making
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and client outcomes
• Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or equivalent accounting qualification
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of Australian bookkeeping and payroll experience
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and Fair Work Modern Awards
• Good understanding of Australian taxation concepts and accounting standards
• Advanced working knowledge of Xero and Dext
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently
• Strong experience with at least one platform in each category below:
• Payroll & rostering: Deputy, Tanda, Employment Hero
• POS systems: Lightspeed, Shopify, Square
• Familiarity with at least one app in the following categories will be highly regarded:
• Payment platforms: Weel, Wise, AirWallex, Paytron
• Inventory management systems: Cin7, Unleashed
• Automation apps: Amaka, A2X
