An IMPEX (Import and Export) Analyst is responsible for managing and monitoring import and export transactions, ensuring compliance with Philippine customs regulations, and coordinating with suppliers, brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure the timely movement of goods. The role also involves analyzing shipping costs, trade data, and logistics performance to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Job Summary:
The IMPEX Analyst oversees import and export operations by preparing shipping documents, ensuring compliance with customs and trade regulations, coordinating with logistics partners, and analyzing shipment data to support efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor import and export shipments from origin to destination.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and government agencies (e.g., BOC and PEZA).
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine customs regulations and international trade requirements.
  • Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and resolve logistics issues or delays.
  • Analyze shipping costs, duties, taxes, and freight expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and prepare regular reports.
  • Support inventory planning by monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Assist in audits and ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance logistics and trade operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of Philippine Customs (BOC), PEZA, and international trade regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
