GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO’s customers include: Angel Milk, 555, Argentina, Century Canning, Hunt’s-URC, Ligo, Mead Johnson, Nestle, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Reno, Swift, Virginia, and Youngstown.

CADET ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and solve all types of manufacturing issues
  • Ensure quality production output and meet customer requirements
  • Initiate and follow through continuous improvement projects
  • Create production reports
  • Collaborate with various production departments
  • Implement the department’s procedures and policies. This may involve writing new procedures and work instructions.
  • Lead the team and motivate staff

Requirements

  • Fresh graduates of Engineering or Science related degrees are encouraged to apply
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Positive work attitude, trainable, flexible
  • Self-starter and must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, with strong analytical skills
