Permanent Civil Engineer jobs in National Capital Region

JOB ROLE:

The Office Civil Engineer / QS is responsible for quantity take-off. Manage the tendering process including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor bids. Ensures smooth office operations by managing daily tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, handling correspondence, and supporting staff. They act as the central point of contact, organizing files, handling data entry, managing inventory, and coordinating meetings to improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, manage resources, and provide technical guidance on-site.
• Conduct site inspections, identify issues, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure proper documentation of site activities, material usage, and project milestones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) is an advantage but not required.
• Proven experience in the construction industry, with hands-on site management experience highly preferred.Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, regulations, and site safety protocols.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, MS Project).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
