Part-Time General Practitioner – Japanese Clinic in Makati (2 Positions)

ABOUT COTOVIA CLINIC

Cotovia Clinic is a Japanese medical group with 25 locations across 5 countries, mainly in Southeast Asia. Through in-person and online consultations, medicine delivery and Japanese-language patient support, we help people living abroad receive medical care with peace of mind. Our Makati clinic serves the Japanese community in Metro Manila, and we are now looking for two part-time doctors to join our team.

THE ROLE

You will see patients two days a week (8-hour shifts) at our clinic in Legaspi Village, Makati. Most patients are Japanese expatriates and their families. Our interpreters and Japanese-speaking staff support every consultation, so Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Provide primary care consultations for a wide range of medical conditions, illnesses and injuries.

2. Take medical histories and perform physical examinations.

3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and point-of-care testing, as clinically indicated.

4. Establish diagnoses and clearly explain treatment plans to patients (with interpreter support).

5. Prescribe medications and treatments in line with Philippine laws, regulations and clinical guidelines.

6. Give advice on preventive care, lifestyle and general health management.

7. Administer vaccinations and manage immunization schedules.

8. Perform minor procedures within your authorized scope of practice.

9. Support infant and child health assessments when appropriate.

10. Refer patients to specialists or hospitals when needed.

11. Keep accurate patient records in our clinic system (SOAP format).

12. Conduct house calls when required (occasional).

QUALIFICATIONS

- Current and valid PRC license to practice medicine in the Philippines (required)

- Experience as a General Practitioner or Family Physician (at least 1 year preferred)

- Business-level English

- Able to commit to 2 fixed days per week

- Experience as a reliever / part-time clinic physician is a plus

- Japanese language ability is a strong advantage (not required)

- Patient-centered, good communicator, comfortable working with Japanese and Filipino staff

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

- Part-time, 2 days per week, 8 hours per day (16 hours per week)

- Clinic hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (shifts: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Working days are negotiable (Mon–Sat); Saturday availability preferred.

- Rate: PHP 490 – 634 per hour, based on experience (gross, professional fee basis; subject to applicable withholding tax)

- Engagement: independent professional (contract) basis

- Start: December 2026
