OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise database environments across on-premises and AWS cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Oracle Database administration, strong Unix/Linux scripting capabilities, and hands-on experience with AWS services and Amazon Redshift. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can ensure database stability, security, performance, and scalability in mission-critical environments.

Oracle Database Administration

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Databases (12c, 19c).
• Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Manage Oracle Data Guard environments, RMAN backup and recovery strategies, RAC, and ASM.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code and SQL queries.

Unix/Linux & Automation

• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and database maintenance.
• Perform system-level performance analysis and resource optimization on Unix-based platforms.
• Support database deployments and system integrations.

Cloud & Data Warehouse Management

• Manage and support Oracle workloads in AWS environments.
• Design and execute database migration strategies from on-prem to AWS.
• Administer AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Configure and optimize Amazon Redshift clusters, including data loading (COPY command), performance tuning, and integration with AWS services.

Security & Compliance

• Implement database security best practices including encryption, auditing, and role-based access controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance and security standards.

Monitoring & Optimization

• Proactively monitor database health across on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
• Conduct regular backup validation and disaster recovery testing.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, and cloud engineering teams.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Operate effectively under pressure in high-availability environments.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to team objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration (12c, 19c).
• Strong expertise in Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, and ASM.
• Advanced proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and database migration.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Redshift administration and performance tuning.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to Php140,000.00 per month
