ABOUT US:

Our company, Sichu Malatang, is the first to bring authentic Szechuan malatang to the

Filipino yuppies, foodies, and mallgoers in the Philippines. We serve a unique hotpot

experience personalized to each one's food preferences, with each bowl weighed and paid

according to your cravings. In 2019, Sichu Malatang opened its first store in Double Dragon

Meridian Park and instantly became a hit to the Chinese market. Sichu eventually adopted a

more localized approach in marketing, social media content and store design, while

maintaining a modern Chinese ambiance. We also added new cooking techniques and now

offer three choices - Hotpot, Drypot and Mixpot, all cooked in-store by our Chinese Chefs. It

is served fast by the bowl so that you can enjoy your hotpot noodles on a quick lunch break

or on a casual dinner with friends and work colleagues.

I. JOB OVERVIEW:

Waitstaff is responsible for the tasks such as maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in

buffet station, sauce and condiments station, tables, and chairs in line with food and security

standard. They are also in charge of recommending dishes based on guests' tastes and

preferences, when requested. Ensuring customer satisfaction in their dining experience at all

times is also the role of a Waitstaff by being in charge of the restaurant’s presentable image

to the guests. Due to the fast-paced environment of Sichu Malatang, they are also required to

have a dynamic schedule and flexibility in the roles such as assisting other understaffed

stations, when needed.

II. JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the buffet station is set up with all required ingredients, utensils, sauces, and

condiments before service hours.

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the buffet by regularly refilling and arranging fresh, high-

quality ingredients, condiments, and sauces for guests to choose from. Replenishment

of bowls is also included.

  • Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests and ensuring an overall

enjoyable dining experience.

  • Set up and maintain clean, organized, and well-presented tables. Clear dishes and reset

tables promptly to accommodate incoming guests.

  • Provide customers with information on ingredients and menu when requested.
  • Assist Dishwashing Station, when needed.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation practices, including frequent handwashing, use of

gloves, and maintaining a clean workspace.

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Proven work experience as a server or waitstaff, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Customer-oriented and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, including working evenings, weekends, and

holidays, as dictated by the operational needs of the restaurant.

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from branch assistant manager.
  • Amenable to Work within Quezon City Area - Eastwood, UP Town Center, SM Fairview, SM North
