Virtual Medical Biller

Company: Core Virtual Solutions (US company)

Work Setup: Fully Remote, Work-from-Home

Salary: $1025 - $1075

Responsibilities may include:

  • Review and process medical claims for submission to insurance companies or government programs
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to billing
  • Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses and procedures
  • Submit claims accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper reimbursement
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate patient and billing records in electronic health record (EHR) or practice management systems
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or issues
  • Prepare and generate billing reports and summaries for management review
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements related to medical billing
  • Collaborate with medical staff to clarify procedures, documentation, or coding issues
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist in payment posting and reconciliation
  • Continuously stay updated on changes in medical billing codes, insurance policies, and regulations

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience as Virtual Medical Biller
  • A degree or some units in any allied medical course (preferred but not required)
  • Familiar with EHR/EMR tools in the US (Like Athena, ECW, etc.)
  • Familiar with US Healthcare private insurance providers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Tech Requirements:

Reliable high-speed internet, updated computer/laptop, webcam, and headset

Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and scheduling platforms
