Full job description

Rosehill College is seeking a Philippines-based online trainer to support theory delivery for our UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician course.

This is an online delivery role only. The trainer will support scheduled online theory sessions, explain electrical concepts clearly to students, and assist with learner engagement in a remote classroom setting. The role does not involve practical workshop supervision in Australia.

We are looking for someone with strong electrical knowledge, good online teaching or training skills, and the ability to explain technical topics in clear English.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver scheduled online theory sessions for electrotechnology / electrician course content.
  • Explain electrical principles, wiring, circuits, electrical safety, tools, equipment and related theory topics in a clear and structured way.
  • Support students during online classes through discussion, examples and Q&A.
  • Prepare for sessions using provided course materials.
  • Communicate professionally with the academic team regarding student progress, attendance or learning concerns.
  • Maintain a practical, safety-focused approach when explaining electrical theory.

Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical qualification from the Philippines or another recognised jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, wiring systems, circuits, electrical safety and electrician trade theory.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Reliable internet connection, computer, microphone and webcam for online delivery.
  • Availability for weekday online sessions, including possible evening sessions.
  • Ability to provide copies of qualification certificates and academic transcripts for mapping/review.

Preferred:

  • PRC Registered Electrical Engineer, Registered Master Electrician, or similar electrical licence/registration.
  • TESDA Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II or related electrical trade qualification.
  • Bachelor degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electrotechnology or a related discipline.
  • Prior teaching, training, coaching, tutoring or online delivery experience.
  • Experience working with adult learners or vocational/trade students.

  • academic transcript/s or record of units/subjects completed;
  • electrical licence/registration evidence, if applicable;
  • evidence of teaching/training experience, if available;
  • weekday and evening availability;
  • expected hourly rate.

Important note: This is a preliminary recruitment process for online theory delivery support. Appointment is subject to document review, qualification mapping, reference checks and Rosehill College academic approval.
