Job Description

The Student Intern assigned to the Medical Director’s Office will assist in administrative, clerical, and coordination tasks to support the daily operations of the office. The intern will gain exposure to hospital administration, documentation processes, and professional workplace practices within a healthcare setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing, filing, and maintaining office documents and records.
  • Help prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and office activities.
  • Receive, route, and monitor documents for approval and endorsement.
  • Support coordination with different hospital departments and personnel.
  • Assist in encoding data and updating office databases or monitoring files.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive hospital and patient-related information.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical tasks assigned by the Medical Director or designated staff.

Qualifications:

  • Currently taking up Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Business Administration, Office Administration, Public Health, or related courses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
  • With good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling documents and information.
