  • Clean and sterilize equipment: Prepare lab equipment for testing by cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing it
  • Collect and process samples: Collect, receive, prepare, and process samples of blood, tissue, and body fluids
  • Perform maintenance: Maintain and calibrate lab instruments and diagnostic equipment
  • Analyze data: Analyze and collect data and trends to prepare reports
  • Communicate: Communicate with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Troubleshoot: Review quality control results and troubleshoot issues
  • Document: Document and review tested data
  • Provide technical information: Provide technical information on how to operate medical equipment
