Full job description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Nursing Assistant aids nurses in providing basic patient care and other uncomplicated tasks that may be delegated.
Education : Preferably a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (underboard) any two-year medical related course (preferably has a Caregiving NC Certificate).
Experience : At least one (1) year of related work experience but not required, fresh graduates may be considered.
Training : Basic Life Support, Customer Service Training
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking and recording vital signs.
- Assist patients in activities of daily living (ADL’s).
- Answer phone calls and patient calls.
- Assist in patient turning.
- Listen to patients regarding health concerns and complaints and report it to the nurse.
- Assist nurses in preparation and operation of medical equipment.
- Collect and bring specimens to ancillary services.
- Obtaining diagnostic results from ancillary services.
- Obtaining medicines and medical supplies requested by the nurse.
- Assist in patient mobility and transfer.
- Accompany patients during transfer/transport.
- Assist in post-mortem care.
- Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical, and personal proficiencies.
