Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards in handling laboratory equipment, specimens, and results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) using standard laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Conduct tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and blood banking.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Record, interpret, and release laboratory findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Observe strict safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in proficiency testing, internal audits, and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Provide guidance or training to interns, trainees, or new staff when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Licensed/Registered Medical Technologist.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Details:

  • Location: Limketkai Business Park, Lapasan, Cagayan De Oro
  • Clinic set-up
  • 6 days duty a week
