Southwestern University PHINMA is looking for a highly-driven LABORATORY ASSISTANT.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: At least a high school graduate or college level in a relevant field.
• Experience: Experience in a laboratory setting is an advantage, but training may be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of lab techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with data entry and basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle materials that may require lifting, bending, or reaching.

Job Description:

• Assist in setting up laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
• Prepare and label samples, solutions, and reagents according to standard procedures.
• Perform routine lab tasks, such as centrifuging, measuring, and pipetting.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs promptly to the supervisor.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, instruments, and surfaces.
• Record observations, results, and data accurately in lab notebooks or databases.
• Maintain proper documentation of inventory, usage logs, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure proper disposal of chemical and biological waste.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and lab standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and stocking supplies.
• Organize and label chemicals and materials properly for efficient usage.

Pay: From Php14,085.00 per month
