Full job description

1. Provide immediate first aid treatment to injured or ill employees, visitors, and contractors at the project site and other assigned worksites.

2. Maintain the first aid station, emergency medical supplies, and ensure all first aid equipment is complete, serviceable, and readily available.

3. Assist in responding to workplace emergencies, accidents, fire incidents, and medical situations.

4. Assist in the conduct of regular workplace safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

5. Help monitor compliance with company safety policies, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards, and project safety requirements.

6. Assist in implementing safety programs, emergency preparedness plans, and health promotion activities.

7. Prepare and maintain records of accidents, incidents, first aid treatments, and safety observations.

8. Help in reporting workplace hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices to management and recommend corrective actions.

9. Participate in accident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and preventive measures.

10. Assist and participate in the conduct of toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and safety awareness campaigns for employees, contractors, and visitors.

11. Assist in ensuring that the required safety signs, barricades, warning devices, and emergency equipment are properly installed and maintained.

12. Coordinate with external medical providers, hospitals, emergency responders, and government agencies when necessary.

13. Assist in maintaining compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards and other applicable safety regulations.

14. Support safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments conducted by internal and external parties.

15. Maintain confidentiality of employee medical information and incident records in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

Perform other duties related to the job role that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school graduate; preferably with vocational, college, or healthcare-related education.
  • Must have a valid and recognized First Aid/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferably trained in CPR, AED use, and basic occupational first aid.
  • Preferably with relevant experience as a First Aider, Safety Officer, healthcare assistant, or similar role.
  • Physically and mentally capable of responding to workplace emergencies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during emergencies.
  • Knowledgeable in basic workplace safety and emergency response procedures.
