Medical Researcher
Position Summary
FriendlySoft Technology Inc., based in California, is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician (MD/DO) to support healthcare providers through research, education, and clinical workflow development.
This position focuses on researching U.S. healthcare incentive programs, quality measures, payer requirements, and CMS regulations to identify opportunities that help providers improve patient care, maintain compliance, and maximize incentive-based reimbursement.
The successful candidate will translate complex program requirements into practical provider education, clinical workflows, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) templates tailored to each clinic's specialty and practice.
Candidates must be independent learners with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Primary ResponsibilitiesHealthcare Incentive Program Research
- Research U.S. healthcare incentive programs, including HEDIS, Annual Wellness Visits, RAF/HCC, preventive care initiatives, Medicare quality programs, and other value-based care programs.
- Identify documentation standards, clinical services, and workflow requirements necessary for providers to qualify for incentive payments.
- Monitor changes to healthcare quality programs and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Other Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer incentive programs.
Provider Education & Training
- Train physicians and healthcare providers on the company's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Educate providers on documentation requirements, quality measures, and best practices that support compliance and reimbursement.
- Develop presentations, training materials, and educational resources.
Clinical Workflow & EHR Development
- Design and improve clinical templates and workflows within the company's proprietary EHR.
- Ensure templates support program requirements, provider efficiency, and accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with software developers and operations teams to implement workflow improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician (MD/DO) license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare quality programs, provider education, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), healthcare compliance, case management, utilization review, population health, or a related healthcare field.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations, payer policies, and healthcare quality program requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HEDIS, RAF/HCC, Medicare quality programs, preventive care initiatives, and value-based care.
- Experience training physicians or other healthcare providers.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems.
- Experience developing provider education materials, clinical workflows, or documentation tools.
