Job Description:

1. Performs the following procedures as prescribed by a physician:

  • Aerosol Therapy
  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) extraction
  • Chest Physiotherapy
  • Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Titration
  • Incentive Spirometry
  • Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB) Treatment
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Screening
  • Peak Expirometry Flow Rate (PEFR) Monitoring
  • Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
  • Spontaneous Breathing Parameters (SBP)
  • Sputum Induction

2. Operates mechanical ventilators and inputs parameters as ordered by the physician.

3. Provides pulse oximetry equipment to general nursing and intensive care units.

4. Assists the physician in establishing artificial airway and mechanical ventilation.

5. Calibrates and prepares mechanical ventilators and pulse oximeters prior patient use.

6. Administers medically prescribed gases as ordered by a physician.

7. Assists nursing units in hooking oxygen devices to patients.

8. Assists the code team in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway establishment as needed.

9. Performs weaning-out procedures to mechanically ventilated patients as ordered.

10. Participates in the transfer of mechanically ventilated patients to and from different nursing units.

11. Part of the ambulance team during hospital transfer of mechanically ventilated patients as needed.

12. Performs after-care of pulmonary equipment after each patient use.

13. Assesses patient vital signs prior and after procedure as needed and relays to the physician.

Job Qualifications:

  • With Valid Respiratory Therapist (PRC) License
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • With 6 months to 1 year experience
  • Can start ASAP
