Full job description

We are seeking a Medical Records and Billing Coordinator to support a U.S.-based Personal Injury law firm. This role focuses on obtaining medical records and itemized billing, maintaining organized documentation, following up with medical providers, and reviewing records to ensure attorneys and case managers have accurate, complete, and easy-to-understand medical information for each case.

This position is best suited for candidates with a strong medical background who are comfortable working extensively with medical records, treatment documentation, and healthcare billing.

Comprehensive paid training will be provided. However, prior knowledge of U.S. healthcare billing processes and medical documentation is required.

What You Will Do

- Request medical records, itemized billing statements, and supporting documentation from healthcare providers, hospitals, imaging facilities, specialists, and clinics.
- Monitor pending requests, deadlines, and received documents, and consistently follow up until records are complete.
- Maintain organized digital files using structured naming conventions and documentation systems.
- Review medical records thoroughly to identify treatment details, injury-related care, key dates, and missing or inconsistent information.
- Prepare organized medical chronologies and billing summaries to assist attorneys and case managers in understanding the progression of treatment and related expenses.
- Identify missing providers, incomplete records, or documentation discrepancies and communicate findings to the legal team.
- Handle all medical and case-related information with strict confidentiality and in compliance with security and privacy standards.

Required Qualifications

- Medical-allied educational background required, with or without license (preferred backgrounds include Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapists, or similar healthcare professionals).
- Strong understanding of SOAP notes, physician documentation, and how to identify medically relevant information in personal injury cases.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. healthcare billing and coding, including ICD-10 codes, CPT codes, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience handling medical records requests, medical billing, or healthcare documentation for legal, insurance, or medical environments.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent computer skills, including document organization, data entry, and digital file management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Reliable internet connection, quiet work environment, and secure remote workspace.

Pay: Php229.00 per hour
