Job Overview

Remoworks Int’l LLC is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Billing Specialist with a strong background in behavioral health or psychiatric billing and hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of medical billing procedures, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT codes, Medicare billing requirements, and insurance payer guidelines. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The successful candidate must be comfortable learning new workflows, participating in classroom training and shadowing, and following established data security and work continuity procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage psychiatric and behavioral health medical billing activities.
• Review patient information, diagnosis codes, CPT codes, and billing documentation for accuracy.
• Use eClinicalWorks (eCW) to access patient records, review encounters, and perform billing-related tasks.
• Verify insurance eligibility and review payer-specific billing requirements.
• Support Medicare billing processes and follow applicable payer guidelines.
• Identify billing errors, missing information, coding discrepancies, and potential claim rejections.
• Assist with claim submission, payment posting, claim status follow-ups, and accounts receivable activities as assigned.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation in the designated healthcare systems.
• Protect patient information and follow HIPAA requirements and confidentiality policies.
• Participate in classroom training, shadowing, and workflow orientation.
• Maintain reliable internet connectivity, backup equipment or access arrangements as required, and follow business continuity procedures.
• Communicate billing concerns, discrepancies, and workflow issues promptly to the appropriate team members.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in psychiatric medical billing.
• Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes.
• Familiarity with Medicare billing and commercial insurance payer requirements.
• Understanding of claim submission, rejection handling, payment posting, and accounts receivable is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, processes, and workflows.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong active listening, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using healthcare software and performing computer-based administrative tasks.
• Willingness to participate in classroom training and shadowing.
• Ability to maintain dependable backup arrangements and comply with work continuity procedures.

Work Environment

• Full-time remote position supporting a US healthcare operation.
• Must be available to work the schedule assigned by the client.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, secure work environment.
• Must be willing to complete required training and follow established security and confidentiality procedures.
