SEO Content Specialist (Remote — Philippines)

Job Type: Full-time, Remote (Work from Home)
Schedule: Overlap with US Pacific Time required

About the Role

We are a US-based e-commerce company in the premium consumer goods space, looking to add an SEO Content Specialist to our growing content team. You will work directly with our marketing lead and collaborate with designers and developers to research, write, and optimize content across multiple brand websites.

This is a hands-on writing and strategy role — not a link-building or purely technical position. You will own content from keyword research through to published page.

What You'll Do

• Research keywords and search intent, then draft collection pages, product detail pages (PDPs), landing pages, and blog articles
• Optimize on-page elements: SEO titles, H1/H2 structure, URL slugs, meta descriptions, internal linking, and FAQ sections
• Fact-check all content against credible sources — accuracy is non-negotiable in our category
• Structure content for AI-driven search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and for featured snippets and voice search
• Monitor rankings and visibility in Semrush and Google Search Console; flag issues such as keyword cannibalization, indexing errors, or ranking drops, and propose fixes
• Coordinate with developers and designers on page layout, schema markup, and publishing
• Maintain a content tracker and submit daily task logs

Requirements

• 2+ years of SEO content writing experience, with e-commerce sites as a primary focus
• Strong command of written English — clear, natural, native-level fluency in writing
• Working knowledge of SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — you understand how content earns visibility in AI answer engines, not just in traditional blue-link results
• Hands-on experience with Semrush or Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
• Familiarity with Shopify and how content is structured on collection and product pages
• Comfortable with schema markup concepts (Article, FAQPage, Product)
• Able to work independently, manage your own queue, and communicate proactively over Slack
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet home working setup

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience writing in the medical, health, baby care, or women's health / feminine care categories — these are regulated, high-trust spaces, and prior exposure is a significant advantage
• Understanding of YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content standards and E-E-A-T principles
• Familiarity with regulatory language boundaries — knowing which claims a consumer product can and cannot make
• Experience working with US-based teams or clients

Someone who takes ownership. Our current team member moves work forward without needing detailed direction, catches problems before they escalate, and pushes back with reasoning when something doesn't make sense. We want a second person with that same instinct.
