Job Summary

Cardiovascular encoder supports the department in a variety of ways. Assist in completing needed tasks including, but not limited to copying, filing, updating records, distributing necessary paperwork and notices to other Departments.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  • Make necessary charges in all procedures at all time.
  • Collect and receive ECG strips from other areas and check the charges on the HIS before logging in the data on the desired logbook.
  • Perform administrative work such as answering phone call inquiries, processing monthly census, inventories and filing patient’s information and documents.
  • Schedule patients on the available slot and explain the procedure, preparation needed and the turn-around time.
  • Coordinates with the pediatric cardiologist, vascular tech and Echocardiographer on their available schedule for the procedure.
  • Photocopy all results and file on the designated area.
  • Forward results in other areas once available.
  • Release result to patients, relative and on other areas in compliance with the policy and procedure of patient’s safety and confidentiality.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain professional relationships with sonographer and other staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, related service personnel, and all other Departments.
  • Inform patients regarding the availability of the result.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiative activities of the organization.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of baccalaureate degree in any medical field.

Experience: At least six months work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php13,000.00 - Php14,000.00 per month
