Medical Equipment Technician jobs

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated production equipment. This role supports manufacturing operations by maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of automated production equipment and systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Analyze machine failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime through effective maintenance practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and technical documentation.

Automation Support

• Provide technical support for PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, robotics, vision systems, and motion control equipment.
• Assist with automation system optimization, parameter backup and restoration, and program debugging activities.
• Support machine setup, commissioning, validation, and production start-up activities.
• Participate in automation projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvement programs.
• Help monitor equipment performance and recommend enhancements that improve productivity and reliability.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, cycle time, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Support new product introductions and process transfers involving automated equipment.
• Contribute to cost-reduction efforts through efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to all safety policies, environmental requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment and process-related issues.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a Technical/Vocational course in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology, Automation Technology, or related disciplines.
• Engineering graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation, production equipment maintenance, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience supporting automated assembly, testing, or production equipment is preferred.
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Basic automation programming and software experience is desirable.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PLC systems and HMI interfaces.
• Familiarity with robotics systems and machine vision technologies.
• Understanding of servo drives and motion control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Experience with equipment diagnostics, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.

Pay: Php1,000.00 - Php2,000.00 per day
