Full job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients move in and out of bed, wheelchairs, or examination tables.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs like temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Serve meals and assist patients with eating when necessary.
  • Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Report any changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
  • Support nurses in providing basic care and attending to patients' comfort.
  • Assist with the transport of patients within the facility.
  • Collect samples for routine laboratory testing as directed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital or facility policies.

Qualification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Completion of a Nursing Aide or Caregiving training program (with NC II certificate preferred).
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (if required by local health authority).
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful in dealing with the elderly, disabled, or ill individuals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
  • Experience in a healthcare facility or hospital setting is an advantage.
