Back End Medical Biller

We're looking for experienced Back-End Medical Billers who are passionate about revenue cycle management and have a strong background in insurance follow-up, denial resolution, and accounts receivable.

What You'll Do

As a Back-End Medical Biller, you may handle some or all of the following responsibilities:

• Perform insurance claims follow-up with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, and other payers
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve denied, rejected, and underpaid claims
• Prepare and submit first-level and second-level appeals with appropriate documentation
• Manage aging Accounts Receivable (AR) and prioritize outstanding balances for collection
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs)
• Accurately post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and write-offs
• Identify billing trends and root causes of denials to help improve clean claim rates
• Communicate with insurance representatives regarding claim status and reimbursement
• Maintain detailed documentation of payer communications and account activity
• Collaborate with front-end billers, coders, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues
• Ensure timely resolution of claims while meeting productivity and quality standards
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent U.S. medical billing experience
• Proven experience in:
• Claims Follow-Up
• Denials Management
• Appeals Processing
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Insurance Collections
• Payment Posting
• Rejections Resolution
• Strong understanding of the medical billing revenue cycle
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding (coding certification not required)
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers
• Proficient in using EMR/EHR and Practice Management systems
