InboxZeroVA is launching a 30-Day Medical Virtual Assistant Training Academy designed to equip qualified candidates with the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to support healthcare clients remotely.

No previous medical virtual assistant experience is required. We are looking for motivated professionals who already have a strong customer service background and are ready to transition into the medical VA industry.

Program Overview

• Program duration: 30 days
• Training schedule: 4 hours per day
• Training arrangement: Remote
• Training fee: None
• Training allowance or salary: None during the academy period
• Employment pathway: Successful graduates who meet all program requirements will be placed with an available InboxZeroVA client

Employment and compensation will begin upon successful client placement.

What You Will Learn

Participants will receive structured training in:

• Introduction to the US healthcare system
• Medical terminology and common healthcare workflows
• HIPAA awareness and patient-data confidentiality
• Patient scheduling and appointment coordination
• Insurance eligibility and benefits verification
• Medical billing and revenue cycle fundamentals
• Electronic health record and practice-management systems
• Professional phone, email, and patient communication
• Documentation, task management, and quality standards
• Client-readiness and medical VA workplace expectations

Key Responsibilities During Training

• Attend and actively participate in all scheduled sessions
• Complete assigned activities, simulations, and assessments
• Practice handling healthcare-related calls and administrative tasks
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and willingness to learn
• Meet the academy’s attendance, performance, and graduation requirements
• Maintain confidentiality when working with training materials and simulated patient information

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service, call center, BPO, administrative support, or related experience
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with customers or patients by phone
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established processes
• Willing to learn medical terminology and healthcare workflows
• Able to attend four hours of training daily for the full 30-day program
• Has a reliable computer, stable internet connection, headset, and suitable remote workspace
• Open to working schedules based on US client requirements after placement

Applicants with healthcare, insurance, billing, appointment-setting, or patient-support experience are encouraged to apply, although these are not required.

Graduation and Placement

To graduate from the academy, participants must:

• Meet the required attendance standard
• Complete all assigned training activities and assessments
• Demonstrate the required communication and technical competencies
• Pass the final client-readiness evaluation
• Comply with InboxZeroVA’s professional and confidentiality standards

Candidates who successfully complete all graduation requirements are guaranteed placement with an available InboxZeroVA client. The specific client, role, schedule, hourly rate, and placement date will depend on current client openings and job requirements.

Graduation does not guarantee placement with a particular client, schedule, specialty, or compensation rate.
