Job Summary:

A Massage Therapist provides therapeutic massage treatments to clients to promote relaxation, relieve pain, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being. They assess client needs and customize treatments accordingly while maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform various types of massage therapy such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and aromatherapy.
  • Assess clients’ physical condition, medical history, and preferences before treatment.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide professional advice on stretching, relaxation techniques, and wellness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment room.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation of tools, equipment, and linens.
  • Monitor client comfort and adjust pressure or technique as needed.
  • Keep accurate client records and treatment notes.
  • Promote spa/clinic services and recommend products when appropriate.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or diploma in Massage Therapy.
  • Valid license (if required by local regulations).
  • Knowledge of different massage techniques and body treatments.
  • Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, or clinic is an advantage.
