Operations Manager
Role Overview: As the Operations Manager, you are the bridge between the owner's vision and the daily reality of the hostel. Your job is to ensure the "Outpost Machine" is perfectly tuned so that the social experience feels effortless for the guests. You lead the Department Supervisors, ensuring they have the tools and the clarity to foster community, while you maintain a "High-End Home" standard across the property.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring the "Social Symphony" (Cross-Departmental Synergy)
- The Bridge: You ensure that departments talk to each other. For example, ensuring Reception tells the Bar about a large group arrival, or Tours tells the Kitchen when a hungry group is returning for a communal meal.
- Atmosphere Consistency: You audit the hostel daily to ensure the energy is seamless. You make sure the transition from "Morning Chill" (Housekeeping/Breakfast) to "Afternoon Adventure" (Tours) to "Nighttime Party" (Bar/Security) is perfectly timed and executed.
2. Protecting the "Outpost Standard" (Layman’s Boutique Quality)
- The "Eye for Detail": You walk the property with a "perfectionist" lens. This means:
- Smell: Ensuring the "Sanctuary" (Dorms) smells fresh and clean.
- Sight: Ensuring the "Communal Hubs" (Lounge/Pool) are clutter-free and look like the photos on Instagram.
- Function: Ensuring the "Infrastructure" (Wi-Fi/AC/Beer Taps) works perfectly so the social flow is never interrupted.
- Quality Audits: You perform regular spot-checks with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure our "Home away from Home" feels premium and cared for.
3. Directing the Supervisors (The Support System)
- Supervisor Mentorship: You are the "go-to" for the Supervisors of Bar, Reception, Housekeeping, Security, and Kitchen. You don't do their jobs for them; you remove the obstacles that stop them from being "Social Leaders."
- Operational Troubleshooting: When a pipe bursts, a system crashes, or a vendor fails, you work with the Admin/Purchasing and Maintenance teams to solve it before the guests even notice.
- Accountability: You hold the Supervisors accountable for their department's "Social Mission" and their "Boutique Standards."
4. The Business of Community (Efficiency & Profit)
- Revenue Strategy: You work to ensure the hostel is profitable by monitoring bar margins, tour bookings, and occupancy. You understand that a profitable hostel is one that can afford to keep creating amazing community experiences.
- Inventory Oversight: You work with the Admin/Purchasing to ensure we are buying the best quality for the best price, ensuring the Bar and Kitchen are always stocked for the next big event

- Operational Fluency: High comfort with Property Management Systems (PMS), inventory tracking, and facility maintenance.
- Mission-Driven: A deep belief that a hostel’s primary job is to bring people together.

Pay: Php60,000.00 - Php70,000.00 per month
