Full job description

Responsibilities include warmly greeting visitors, managing reservations and waitlists, assigning seating fairly among servers, and coordinating with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth, efficient service.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Knowledgable: Restaurant Services/Japanese Restaurant
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a fast-paced front-of-house role is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication, a friendly and patient demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Technical: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and digital reservation platforms (such as SevenRooms or OpenTable).
  • Physical: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and adapt to a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries (menu questions, dietary restrictions), and alert servers and the kitchen of VIP arrivals or large parties.
