Blackfish is an elevated casual dining restaurant and craft cocktail bar located in Angeles City, Pampanga. With a seating capacity of 100, we combine progressive food and beverage with a thoughtful, service-forward approach.

Key Responsibilities

The Waiter is a frontline brand ambassador for Blackfish, responsible for delivering warm, polished, and attentive service that transforms a meal into an experience. This role demands a seamless blend of technical service skills, menu expertise, and genuine hospitality to create a fluid, memorable, and personalized guest journey.

Table Service & Guest Experience

• Provide attentive, polished, and knowledgeable table service—taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring timely course progression with proper pacing.
• Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival, assist with seating when needed, and extend a sincere thank you upon departure.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our food, craft cocktail, and wine menus to offer confident recommendations and accurately answer guest questions.
• Anticipate guest needs and handle any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Practice proper table maintenance throughout the meal, including clearing, crumbing, and resetting between courses.
• Present and explain menu specials, daily offerings, and featured beverages with enthusiasm and expertise.

Beverage & Food Knowledge

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of craft cocktails, wine varietals, and beverage pairing principles.
• Understand ingredient sourcing, preparation methods, and flavor profiles to articulate menu items compellingly.
• Upsell thoughtfully and naturally, enhancing the guest experience while supporting revenue goals.

Operations & Team Collaboration

• Liaise with the service, kitchen, and bar teams to relay guest needs, special requests, dietary restrictions, and ensure seamless communication and service flow.
• Maintain strict adherence to all service standards, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Ensure your service section is clean, organized, and properly set at all times, including proper table settings, linens, and glassware.
• Support management with answering incoming phone calls and responding to inquiries via messaging apps and social media in a professional and friendly manner.
• Participate in pre-shift briefings and continuous training sessions to sharpen skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• A natural warmth and engaging personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and service excellence.
• A minimum of 4 years of solid waiting experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
• Must be currently located in or reliably commute to Angeles City, Pampanga.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including proper serving techniques and sequence of service.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident, professional phone manner.
• Highly organized and composed, especially when multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
• A team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php15,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
