Job Summary

The Junior Landscape Architect supports the planning, design, development, coordination, and implementation of landscape works for commercial, mixed-use, township, and other development projects. The role provides technical and design support in the preparation of landscape concepts, detailed drawings, presentations, specifications, material and plant selections, and site coordination to ensure that landscape works are delivered in accordance with approved design intent, quality standards, budget, schedule, and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in landscape design, planning, site development, or construction is preferred.
• Knowledge of landscape design, planting design, hardscape, irrigation, site development, and landscape construction.
• Knowledge of plant materials, landscape materials, and their application in different site conditions.
• Familiarity with applicable planning, environmental, building, and landscape standards and regulations.
• Strong design, visualization, technical documentation, and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Design & Planning

• Assist in the preparation of landscape master plans, conceptual designs, and detailed landscape drawings.
• Develop planting plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation plans, landscape details, and related technical drawings.
• Prepare presentation materials, renderings, design studies, and technical reports.
• Conduct site analysis, site inventory, and assessment of existing landscape conditions.
• Research and recommend appropriate plant species, landscape materials, and sustainable design solutions.
• Technical & Design Coordination
• Coordinate landscape requirements with Architectural, Civil, Structural, MEPFS, Planning, and other technical disciplines.
• Review landscape drawings and technical requirements for coordination and constructability.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts, site constraints, and technical issues.
• Assist in evaluating alternative materials, planting schemes, and landscape solutions.

Project & Site Coordination

• Attend project meetings, design reviews, coordination meetings, and site inspections.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, nurseries, and project site teams.
• Monitor landscape implementation and verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and design intent.
• Assist in resolving site-related design and construction issues.
• Conduct site validation and prepare site observation and inspection reports.

Materials & Planting Coordination

• Assist in the selection and evaluation of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, planting materials, hardscape materials, and landscape accessories.
• Review material samples, plant specifications, technical submittals, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with suppliers and nurseries regarding availability, quality, specifications, and delivery requirements.
• Assist in evaluating materials and planting alternatives based on cost, availability, maintenance, durability, and site suitability.
• Quality & Construction Monitoring
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, material samples, and method statements related to landscape works.
• Conduct site inspections and document observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Monitor workmanship and compliance with approved landscape plans and specifications.
• Assist in punch listing, inspection, testing, rectification, and turnover of landscape works.

Project Documentation & Support

• Maintain and organize landscape drawings, specifications, plant schedules, material information, and project records.
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, technical evaluations, design studies, and value-engineering proposals.
• Prepare project updates, presentations, and other management reports as required.
• Support the development of standard landscape details, design guidelines, and technical references for the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per month
