Full job description

We are seeking a Japanese Interpreter to support communication between Japanese and English-speaking teams involved in engineering and CAD-related projects. This role requires strong interpretation and translation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn technical concepts related to CAD operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate accurate verbal and written communication between Japanese and English-speaking parties
  • Translate project specifications, operational standards, software manuals, and administrative documents
  • Process, type, and comprehend Japanese texts for staff members
  • Conduct research and gather materials based on project requirements
  • Translate documents related to CAD and engineering operations
  • Accurately relay technical concepts and information between Japanese and English
  • Attend meetings and conferences as the official interpreter
  • Support Japanese expatriates and visiting personnel with interpretation needs
  • Manage communication with Japanese designers regarding CAD operations
  • Handle electronic submission and receipt of project assignments
  • Provide precise interpretation without omissions or unauthorized additions
  • Maintain daily activity logs and ensure compliance with company standards and policies

Qualifications:

  • N3, N2, or N1 level proficiency
  • Proven experience in Japanese interpretation and translation
  • Business-level English communication skills
  • Strong willingness to undergo training and professional development
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge or exposure to CAD operations is highly advantageous
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, or technical projects is a plus
