LINE COOK – ITALIAN RESTAURANT

Our Italian Restaurant is looking for passionate, hardworking, and dedicated Line Cook to join our opening team in Glorietta 3, Makati City.

We are looking for culinary professionals who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen, and are committed to preparing quality food while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and consistency.

THE ROLE

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to restaurant recipes and standards while ensuring your assigned station is organized, clean, and ready for service.

You will:

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and restaurant standards
• Complete proper mise en place before and during service
• Operate and manage your assigned station efficiently during service
• Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and within required service times
• Maintain proper portioning, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients used at your station
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Coordinate closely with the CDP, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members during service
• Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment concerns, and operational issues promptly
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently
• Properly handle and care for kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required
• Support other kitchen stations and team members when needed
• Follow kitchen procedures, recipes, and service standards consistently
• Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of service
• Contribute to a positive, disciplined, and supportive kitchen environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We want team members who are hardworking, reliable, willing to learn, and genuinely interested in developing their culinary skills.

Ideal candidates should have:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Cook, Commis, or similar kitchen position
• Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Italian cuisine experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Good organization and time management
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
• Professional grooming and presentation
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules
