Full job description

Medical Technologist – Job Responsibilities

  • Performs phlebotomy, specimen collection, identification, handling, and processing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs laboratory testing in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Clinical Microscopy, Immunology/Serology, Bacteriology, and Blood Banking/Transfusion Services.
  • Operates, maintains, and performs basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and ensures proper quality control procedures.
  • Performs blood typing, crossmatching, compatibility testing, and other blood bank procedures as applicable.
  • Ensures accurate, timely, and reliable processing, validation, documentation, and reporting of laboratory results.
  • Follows established SOPs, quality assurance programs, biosafety, infection control, and DOH requirements.
  • In decision-making, exercises sound analytical and critical thinking in performing laboratory procedures, interpreting results, identifying discrepancies, and addressing issues in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Maintains proper documentation, inventory, cleanliness, and readiness of assigned work areas.
  • · Demonstrates proper work ethics, discipline, punctuality, and a strong sense of urgency in performing assigned duties, while maintaining a professional, mature, respectful, and collaborative working attitude toward superiors, colleagues, medical staff, and hospital personnel.
  • Promotes effective communication, teamwork, and seamless coordination within and across departments to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care.
  • Performs other laboratory-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chief or Head of the Laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education – Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology; must be a licensed and registered Medical Technologist.

2. Experience – Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
