Job Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and weighing them for the day’s service.
  • Cooking & Plating: Cook dishes to exact recipe specifications, ensuring proper taste, texture, and visual presentation.
  • Hygiene & Sanitation: Adhere to strict health and safety standards. This includes sanitizing workstations, properly storing food, and preventing cross-contamination.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, handle deliveries, and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are followed to minimize waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions to management.

Common Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma, vocational course, or a degree in Food & Beverage Services or Culinary Arts.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
  • Certifications: A valid food handler’s permit or certification is frequently required.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for extended shifts and lift heavy items.
